First phase of Mohmand Marble City launched

PESHAWAR: Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah Wednesday formally inaugurated the 1st Phase of Mohmand Marble City,  the first Industrial Estate in entire FATA.
Addressing a tribal jirga, he said the project that was on papers for three months has now achieved reality as 100 industrial plots are available at the site.
He said that staff and machinery has reached at Nahaqi Kandao to construct the 600 meters long tunnel.

Tribal jirga vows to restore peace in Mohmand Agency

GHALANAI: Grand jirga decided to restore tribal culture and would restore peace by the help of government. A grand jirga of Utmankhel, Ambaro, Parang Ghar, Saffi, Essakhel, Burhankhel, and some tribes of Mehsood tribes were held at Kutatarp lower sub-division Tehsil Ambar on Thursday. The jirga was addressed by Malik Sardar Utmankhel, Malik Haji Subedar Saffi, Mian Alif Shah Utmankhel, Wazir Muhammad and others. The speakers said that for five years terrorism had destroyed the peace and affected the lives of residents of the area. They said that for the restoration of peace in the area 200 local peace committee volunteers had lead their lives by helping the government in it and now the peace is back.

Wazir accuses tehsildar of corruption

MOHMAND AGENCY: Aman committee leader Wazir Muhammad Safi appealed the political administration of Safi tehsil to take notice of the inappropriate attitude of the tehsildar towards the tribal elders.
Wazir Muhammad Safi accused the tehsildar of corruption and claimed that he had terminated his son on personal grounds. He expressed these views in a press statement on Friday.

Jirga for restoring peace in Mohmand Agency

MOHMAND AGENCY: Ji­rga of Mohmand and Bajaur tribes was held at the hujra of Haji Subedar in Safi tehsil on Thursday. The jirga was attended by the tribal elders of Safi, Shinwari, Chamarkandi, Haleemzai, Nawagai and other tribes.
Aman committee elders Malik Haji Subedar Safi and Mualana Guldad Khan said the tribesmen were peaceful Muslims and million of them had become homeless and were living in camps like nomads. They said that they would restore the peace of the area and would not repeat the same mistakes which spoiled the peace of the area in the first place.
