DAGGAR: The officials of the communication and services and education departments were found absent from their duties after surprise visits by the provincial secretary for reconstruction and rehabilitation on Monday, official sources said.
The sources said that the provincial secretary for Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Aurangzeb Khan along with the Deputy Commissioner Mushtaq Khan, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Owais Malik and Additional Assistant Commissioner Qaiser Khan paid surprise visits to the offices of executive engineer of communication and services, district education officer (male and female) and found all the officials absent from duties.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary Aurangzeb Khan said that no one would be spared and strict would be taken against those who did not perform their duties properly. He warned the employees of the government departments in the district to ensure their attendance and work with enthusiasm to resolve the public grievances.
DC said the government had been spending millions of rupees on the public welfare but the employees were paying no attention to their duties. “Those who don’t want to work for the public uplift should quit their jobs,” he said.
