Pervez Khattak was chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the regional set up of Al-Haj Faw Motors industries at Ring Road in Peshawar. It merits a mention here that Al-Haj Faw Motors industries manufactures various types of trucks and passenger vehicles with a load capacity of one ton to sixty tons in collaboration with Chinese technology.
He termed the setting up of regional branch of Al-Haj Faw motors at Peshawar as an important progress to promote foreign and local investment and industrial activities in the province and remarked that such activities were direly needed in the poverty hit province while the provincial government was taking effective measures to create a conducive environment for bringing here maximum national and international investment.
He assured that the provincial government would not only extend all the required facilities to the local and foreign investors but would guarantee them all types of security. The Chief Minister described the venture of Al-Haj and Faw Motors as a milestone for the industrial growth in the province and assured all possible support to the company. Chairman Al-Haj group of industries, Al-Haj Shah Jee Gul said that the company manufactured trucks and other goods carriages with a load capacity of one ton to sixty tons at locally that suited the geographical terrain of the province.
He further told that the products of the company would also be exported to the neighboring country Afghanistan and the central Asian countries. Executive Director Al-Hajj Motors, Nadeem Ahmad Saleemi and country Manager Faw Motors Hang Shang highlighted the background, products, future plans and other aspects of the company. Earlier, the Chief Minister formally inaugurated the regional setup of the company by unveiling plaque.
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) here on Wednesday issued power shutdown notice for Peshawar due to maintenance work.
According to PESCO Spokesman here, power supply will remain suspended from 132 KV Peshawar University grid station on September 19 (Thursday) from 8am to 4pm and resultantly, the consumers of 11 KV Achini-I, II, Hayatabad, HMC, Hayatabad-6 feeders will face difficulty.
Similarly, power supply will remain suspended from132 KV Jamrud grid station on September 21 from 7am to 1pm. As a result, the consumers of 11 KV Hayatabad-6 feeders will face inconvenience.
From 132KV Peshawar City grid station, power supply will remain suspended on September 19 from 8.AM to 12 PM, resultantly the consumers of 11 kv Chamkani feeders will face inconvenience.
Also, power supply will remain off from 132KV Peshawar City grid station on September 21 & 23 from 8am to 2pm and resultantly the consumers of 11 KV Hashtnagri, Shiekhabad, Islamabad, Faqirabad, Gul Bahar-1, 2 feeders will face problems. Likewise, power supply will remain suspended from 132 KV Jamrud grid station on September 21, 23 and 24 from 7am to 1pm and resultantly, the consumers of 11 KV Hayatabad-6 feeders will face inconvenience. - APP
PESHAWAR: The PTI led coalition government has started work on a comprehensive plan for beautification of Peshawar which also includes resolution of traffic, sewerage, congestions, pollution and other related problems with consultation of the people from every walk of life.
The program will include road network, drainage, sewerage, water supply, public transport, low cost housing, schools and hospitals, establishment of zones / cities, IT zone, education city, industrial zone(s), sports city and health city, says a press release issued on Sunday.
It will be also immediately extended to other parts of the province, the main positional to be explored for the purpose is the province’s historical, cultural and geographical heritage.
In this connection, a representative delegation of Markaz-e-Anjuman Tajiran led by Sharafat Ali Mubarak, Haji Waris Khan and Haji Mohammad Afzal held meeting with Commissioner, Peshawar Division, Sahibzada Mohammad Anis here on Friday.
During the meeting, the traders lauded the measures of Commissioner, Peshawar Division for taking measures for Peshawar a beautiful and model city and removal of encroachments and drive against substandard food items, fake and expired medicines.
They also appreciated the keen interest of the Commission in the resolution of their problems.
The traders informed the Divisional Commissioners of their reservations on the raids of the anti-smuggling squads of Pakistan Customs and their apprehensions in this regard.
They also expressed their reservations on clamping of heavy fines on shopkeepers by the administration and demanded bringing them in proportion to their financial position.
They also demanded further acceleration of the crackdown against extortionist elements.
Addressing the meeting Commissioner, Peshawar Division, Sahibzada Mohammad Anis assured the traders that their genuine demands would be accepted on priority basis for which he issued directives on the spot.
He also assured the convening of a joint meeting of Deputy Commissioner, all Additional Assistant Commissioners and traders soon. - APP
PESHAWAR: Chief Capital City Police (CCP) Peshawar Muhammad Ali Babakhel Friday said police force is fully alert to protect lives and properties of masses and also ready to sacrifice their lives for the purpose.
Sacrifices rendered by police force of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have not only improve the image of the force among people but also build their trust, he said while talking to APP here after assuming charge as Chief CCP.
