Rivers Indus, Swat in low flood

PESHAWAR: The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) on Monday said that the river Indus was flowing in low flood at Kotri Barrage whereas all other main rivers Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej and Kabul were normal.
According to daily FFC report, the river Swat was also in Low Flood at Charsadda Road Bridge.
The actual river flows and reservoir elevations indicates that Tarbela and Mangla Reservoirs are at elevations of 1547.75 feet and 1239.25 feet respectively, which are 2.25 feet and 2.75 feet below their respective Maximum Conservation Levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet.

The combined live storage position of Tarbela, Chashma and Mangla reservoirs is 13.772 MAF as compared to last year's 10.307MAF
According to Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), Lahore, yesterday's trough of Westerly Wave over North of Iran today lies over North of Afghanistan.
Seasonal Low still persists over North western Balochistan and adjoining areas.
Moist current from Arabian Sea is penetrating into upper parts of the country upto 5000 feet. -APP
