All main rivers flowing normal

PESHAWAR: The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) said Saturday that all the main rivers of Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej were flowing normal.
According to an FFC report, Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs are at elevations of 1548.04 feet and 1239.00 feet respectively, which are 1.96 feet and 3 feet below their respective maximum conservation levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet.
The combined live storage position of Tarbela, Chashma and Mangla reservoirs is 13.867MAF as compared to last year's 10.785MAF.
According to Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), Lahore, Friday's trough of westerly wave over northeastern Afghanistan and adjoining area had moved away eastwards and lied over northern parts of the country. Seasonal low lied over north-western Balochistan and adjoining areas.
Moist current from Arabian Sea is penetrating into upper parts of the country upto 3000 feet.
As predicted by the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), isolated thundershower with isolated moderate falls at one or two places is expected over Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Kohat and Peshawar divisions alongwith Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram and Bajaur Agencies,including Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and northeastern Balochistan, besides, upper catchments of Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej rivers during the next 24 hours.
Significant rainfall events as reported by FFD, during the past 24 hours include; Kakul =70 mm, Murree =44 mm , Phulra = 42 mm, Chattar Kallas and Palandri =30 mm each, Rawalakot =28 mm, Sehrkakota and Hattian Bala=17 mm each, Domel =16 mm, Shinkiari=14 mm, Chilas = 12 mm and Muzaffarabad = 10 mm. - APP
